“Tempest in a Teapot”
How the image was built:
The photograph of the USS Constitution was downloaded from the Library of Congress at https://www.loc.gov/item/2016817278/. The Library of Congress has a large collection of images, many of which are in the public domain. Masking out this ship, and removing the background, took quite some time! Then, I photographed our teakettle using a white background behind the boiling water, and created a mask in photoshop to begin to build up the layer images. The storm clouds are taken from a screen shot of an iPhone video of a recent thunderstorm in our area. The kettle seemed to fit well in this stock image of a kitchen posted by Jordan Sanchez on Unsplash.com
